There is no account and nothing is sent to a server, which also means progress does not follow you to another browser, another device, or a private window. Clearing site data for this site resets your boxes. If you study on a tablet at home and a laptop at work, treat them as two separate decks.
Yes. Progress is tracked per pair of front and back language, so each combination keeps its own boxes. Switching the I speak language starts a clean set for that pair and leaves your earlier pair untouched. Changing category does not create a new pair. Boxes belong to the language pair, not to the category filter. That helps if you are learning through a second language on purpose, or if two people share one device.
Short and frequent beats long and rare. Ten to fifteen cards, or about five to ten minutes, is enough for one sitting. Look at the picture first and try to say the word before you tap Speak, because the effort of recalling is what builds memory. When the tool says you are caught up, the schedule is working and stopping there is fine. Practice anyway is there for days when you want extra repetitions.
