Frequently asked questions

What does organize PDF do?

This tool changes the page order inside a single PDF without altering the pages themselves. You might use it to fix a stack of scanned pages that came out of order from a duplex scanner, move a cover page or table of contents to the front, group appendix pages at the back of a thesis, or reorder slides in a PDF exported from a presentation tool. The output is a new PDF with your chosen sequence; your original file on disk stays exactly as it was. This is especially useful for scanned contracts and reports, where pages are numbered on paper but scanned out of sequence.

Who is this tool for?

Students reordering scanned thesis chapters, office workers fixing contracts that scanned out of sequence, freelancers assembling a portfolio PDF in a specific viewing order, and anyone who combined pages from different sources and ended up with a sequence that does not match how the document should read. If you have ever opened a PDF and found page 5 sitting before page 2, this is the tool to fix it without desktop software or a cloud upload.

How is this different from merge or split PDF?

Merge combines separate PDF files into one. Split extracts pages into new files. Organize keeps one PDF and only reorders the pages inside it.

How do I reorder PDF pages?

Upload your PDF, drag thumbnails into the order you want (or use the up and down arrows), then download. The preview grid shows each page so you can spot covers, blanks, or duplicates before saving.

Is my PDF uploaded to your servers?

No. Reordering runs entirely in your browser. Your document is read from your device and the new PDF is generated locally.

What are the file limits?

One PDF up to 25 MB and 200 pages per job, matching our other PDF tools.

Will my file return after I refresh?

Usually yes, in the same browser. Your PDF and page order may be restored from local storage until you clear the file. Private browsing may not keep the session after you close the tab.

Processed locally in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers.
