How to use this tool

  1. Upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image.
  2. Press and drag to draw a lasso around the area you want to keep. Release to close the shape.
  3. Pick a background for pixels outside the lasso (transparent, white, or black), then download the PNG.

Frequently asked questions

What is lasso crop?

Lasso crop lets you draw a freehand outline instead of a rectangle. Everything outside that outline is removed, so you can cut out an irregular subject like a person, product, or logo without using a full photo editor.

How is this different from Image Cropper?

Image Cropper uses rectangular frames and aspect-ratio presets for profiles, posts, and passport-style photos. Lasso Crop is for irregular shapes. You can use both tools: crop to a rectangle first, or jump straight to a freehand cutout here.

What file do I get?

The download is always PNG. That keeps transparent edges clean when you choose the transparent background option.

Can I redraw if I make a mistake?

Yes. Click Clear lasso, or start dragging again to replace the current path.

Is this private?

Yes. Your image is processed locally in your browser and is never uploaded to Justools servers.

Does this work on phones?

Yes on most modern phones. Use one finger to draw the path. Very large photos may feel a bit slower on mobile than on desktop.
