Crop PDF

Cropping changes the visible page boundaries of a PDF without touching the content underneath, so wide margins, printer marks, or scanned page borders are hidden from view. People crop PDFs when a scanner captured extra background around a document, when a textbook page has wide margins that waste space when printed two-up, or when a slide deck exported with unwanted white space around the content. Photographers and designers crop PDF proofs to focus a client's attention on the artwork rather than the surrounding page. Because the underlying content is only hidden, not deleted, you can crop again with a different box if the first attempt trims too much or too little.

Yes. The crop you set on the page-1 preview is applied as the same relative percentages to every page in the document.

Yes. Drag any edge or corner of the crop box. Thin and Wide presets start with equal margins on each side; you can reshape freely from there.

No. Cropping only hides content outside the crop box; it is not a redaction tool and should not be relied on to remove sensitive information.

Cropping does not delete page content, so you can crop the same file again with a wider box to reveal margins you hid before. If you already downloaded a cropped copy, upload that file again and adjust the crop box, or start from your original PDF if you saved one.

No. The crop boxes are changed locally in your browser with pdf-lib. Your document is not sent to Justools servers.
