On iPad, iPhone, and many phones, the browser waits for a tap before it plays sound. Tap a numpad key once after the page loads to unlock the chime. Keep media volume up, and on older iPads check that the side silent switch is off.
Practice is untimed and is the calm default. Times tables lets you drill selected factors from 1 to 12 and writes those facts into the heatmap. The 60s sprint counts correct answers, accuracy, and your best streak. There is no score multiplier. When the timer ends, you can play again or switch back to practice.
Each cell is one multiplication fact, from 1x1 to 12x12. A correct answer raises that cell's streak. Three in a row marks it mastered. A miss resets the streak. Tap a row or column number to jump into Times tables for that factor. The grid is stored only in this browser.
Type digits with the on-screen pad or a physical keyboard. The tool auto-submits when the number of digits matches the answer, so 7 times 8 checks as soon as you type both digits of 56. A one-digit answer such as 8 plus 3 checks on the first digit, which avoids treating 1 as a finished answer for 11. If you are unsure, tap Check or press Enter.
Keep sessions short. Five to ten minutes of Times tables on two factors beats a long mixed sprint. Use Practice until the heatmap shows a cluster of mastered cells, then try one sprint. Celebrate streaks, then stop while it still feels easy.
If keys feel delayed, tap once to unlock audio and close extra tabs. If the on-screen pad does nothing, make sure a sprint has been started when you are in Sprint mode. Clearing site data for this site resets the heatmap.

Instant feedback stops you from drilling a wrong answer. The heatmap then shows which facts are actually solid instead of which chapter you finished. Short, frequent rounds beat long mixed tests because you can see the weak cells and return to them the next day.
Pick an operation, tap Start sprint, and answer as many problems as you can before the timer hits zero. The score is simply the number correct. Accuracy and best streak are shown at the end so a fast guessing round is obvious. There is no 2x combo and no lives. When time is up you can play again with the same operation or switch to untimed Practice. Use sprints as a check after the heatmap looks stronger, not as the only way you study.
The grid has 144 cells, one for each fact from 1 times 1 to 12 times 12. Each correct answer on that exact fact raises a consecutive streak. Three in a row marks the cell mastered. A miss sets the streak back to zero, even if you have answered it correctly before. Only multiplication updates the grid. Addition, subtraction, and division still train recall, they just do not color a cell. Tap a number on the axis to drill that table.
Times tables mode asks only multiplication problems that include the factors you selected. If you tap 7 and 8, you will see facts such as 7 times 4 and 8 times 12. Leave several factors on if you want a mixed table review. Turn all but one off when a child is first learning a table. The same answers still update the heatmap, so you can watch that row fill in over a few days.
On iPad and phones, use the large on-screen numpad so the system keyboard stays away. Tap digits, Backspace, or Check. On a computer, the number row and numeric keypad both work, plus Backspace and Enter. The tool checks automatically once you have typed as many digits as the answer has. That is why 12 waits for two digits and 9 checks on the first.
The grid is written to local storage in the browser you are using. There is no account and nothing is sent to a server, so progress does not follow you to another device, another browser, or a private window. Clearing site data for this site resets every cell. If you practice on a tablet at home and a laptop at school, treat them as two separate grids.
